1'' Gabion Basket

Gabion basket consist of rectangular units, fabricated from a double twisted hexagonal mesh. Filled with stones, gabions become large, flexible and permeable elements from which a broad range of structures may be built. Gabions and mattresses are widely used for hydraulic and geo- technical control such as retaining walls, riverbank protections, weirs, channel linings etc.Gabion baskets are divided into cells with diaphragms (usually spaced at 1 meter or 3’ intervals), whose function is to reinforce the structure. 

Wire

Lacing and bracing wire is the wire used to assemble and join the gabion units.Connecting wires are the internal wires used to prevent the gabions from bulging during filling.

All tests on wire must be performed prior to manufacturing the mesh. All wire should comply with ASTM A97597, style 3 coating, Galfan and PVC coated steel wire. Wire used for the manufacture of gabions and the lacing wire, shall have a maximum tensile strength of 75 000 psi (515 MPa) as per ASTM A856-03, soft temper steel.

In order to strengthen the baskets, all the edges of structure selvedged with wire of greater diameter.

2'' Sack Gabion, Gabion Mattress, Heavy Hexagonal Mesh

Sack gabions, which are made of 8×10 double twisted steel woven wire mesh, are cylindrical baskets. They are filled with stones at the construction sites, and have good flexibility and permeability.

3'' The gabion mattress 

Is a flexible and permeable structure made of double twisted hexagonal wire mesh. It is of great significance in river bank protection and as channel linings for erosion control. Usually the heavily zinc-coated soft temper steel is used to make the gabion mattress

4'' Heavy hexagonal mesh

 Also called big type hexagonal mesh. Heavy type hexagonal wire mesh can be made into gabion boxes.

5'' Welded Gabions 

Are wire mesh containers welded with high quality steel mesh. They can be filled on site with hard durable stone materials to form mass gravity retaining structures. Owing to their inflexibility, welded gabions can not adapt to differential settlement or be used in water courses

6'' Galfan Gabion Mesh

Is a kind of hexagonal wire mesh container, which is woven by Zn-Al rare earth alloy coated steel wire. The wire diameter is different according to the size of the hexagonal

7'' The gabion or HESCO bastion 

Is a modern gabion used for flood control and military fortification. It's made of a collapsible wire mesh container and heavy duty fabric liner, and used as a temporary to semi-permanent dike or barrier against blast or small-arms.
